April was a busy month! We spent a week in Dallas for Texas Furry Fiesta, which was a blast as usual. I talked with a bunch of you there, met some folks who were making Firebirds jerseys (just for themselves, but we did have a conversation about maybe making them more widely available—I will update here as we talk further), got to hang out with the FurPlanet guys, and signed a whole bunch of books.
In work news, I finished a revision of Azure City and sent it out to some writing colleagues! I’m really excited about this and can’t wait to have it out to you to read. It was so much fun getting to revisit Meg and Athos and the supernatural world. My current project is getting to final text on Weasel Under the Sun, which is close—just needs a final proofing run—and then working on the revision to Unlawful Possession (the third Wolftown book), which will put me in good shape to start writing the fourth book in that series, one I’m already impatient to get to.
May 24 and 25 I’m going to be selling books at Galactic Camp, a furry convention on a real aircraft carrier! It’s a small con but promises to be tons of fun. We’d love to see you there for that weekend!
The talented TomatoDog has graced us with another illustration for Squeak Thief! Here we see Bryce and Kris relaxing after a successful day of heisting…at least, here’s the top half of the image. To see the full image, check out the Bsky post from the Forester Universe account (and follow us there if you haven’t!).
Lastly, we’ve gotten the Love Match 2 audiobook back to Savrin, and hope to see it available early this summer!
Books:
Dead Right: The sequel to Unfinished Business! Jae gets tangled in the life of a ghost activist who endangers his relationships and his future. Out now in print and e-book form at Argyll Productions and wherever you get books!
Squeak Thief: A rich mouse hires a fox thief to steal from his own family, but the job quickly spirals out of control. You can get it as a print book on FurPlanet or Amazon, or as an e-book on BadDogBooks or any other major retailer.
The Price of Thorns: buy at Argyll and review at Amazon or GoodReads. In a fantasy world where stories are woven into the fabric of magic and life, Nivvy the thief is hired by a mysterious woman, and this job will change his life in ways he could never have anticipated.

We are working on getting Love Match 2 out the door! Work on the Price of Thorns audiobook is largely done with just pickups and post left; we hope to have this out later this year. The Dude, Where’s My Pack? audiobook is also in process, as is Squeak Thief!
Other upcoming releases:

Azure City: 2025 (Fall). A book full of blank pages might be the key to another world, but the more Athos reads, the more he disappears from this one.
Unlawful Possesssion (Wolftown book 3): 2025 (Winter): Chasing a ghost-napper, Jae uncovers a larger, more sinister plot.

Streaming:
The Last of Us (MAX). Season two got off to a great start, and now we’re waiting to see what will happen next. Fair to say the show hasn’t missed a beat, though it did skip forward five years. Still fantastic viewing.
Surface (Apple+). I’ve never seen a show quite so devoted to the idea that “everyone is telling lies.” It’s especially resonant to our protagonist Sophie, who has lost her long-term memory after an apparent suicide attempt. She seems to have the perfect life, with a finance bro husband and a wine o’clock best friend, but—I know, I know, but everyone tells her that’s the perfect life. Except for the cop assigned to her suicide case, but he’s keeping secrets of his own even as he tries to help Sophie unravel hers. This has been a compelling show through six episodes, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (The Morning Show, A Wrinkle In Time) is excellent in the lead role.
Happy May everyone!
