April 2025 Dispatch
Lots happening this March! I’ve finished revisions to two of my upcoming novels, Weasel Under The Sun and Azure City, and I’m excited to get those into your paws! There’s still a ways to go but we expect you to be able to see both of them by the end of the year. After finishing up WUTS, I worked on a few little projects here and there and felt a little bit adrift, but when I picked up Azure City again, I fell in love with that story again. So we’re going to be sending that one out to the cover artist soon, and we’ll keep you posted on progress!
Speaking of keeping posted…we’ve launched a BlueSky account for you to follow to keep up on all the news about my books: the Forester Universe account (https://bsky.app/profile/foresteruniverse.com). Sign up for news, like new offerings, books coming out, audiobooks, etc.
Kit also did a lot of work on the business side of things this month (taxes, y’know) and came up with this cool chart about where our money comes from. You can see how important Patreon is to my livelihood there, and I’m still posting new stories there every week! You can read the first draft of Azure City for just $5/mo, and for $20+ patrons, the new gay basketball book I’m working on, Fast Break. Thanks to everyone supporting me over there, and for everyone who buys books at all!
(We’d love to move some of that blue slice over to the green, you guys, just saying…keep your money in the furry community!)
Coming up in April I’m going to be heading to Texas Furry Fiesta in just a couple days. I don’t have any panels on my docket, but that just means I’ll have more time to be at the dealer room saying hi and signing your books! If you’re going to be there, come on by and check out the new anthology I have a story in: Draconic Desires, all about dragon transformations. It’s hot in two different ways!
After that I’ll be back home and aiming to finish up the craft book before the end of this month. I do really love talking (and writing) about writing, and teaching, and I sure hope this book is going to be useful to you guys.

Dead Right: The sequel to Unfinished Business! Jae gets tangled in the life of a ghost activist who endangers his relationships and his future. Out now in print and e-book form at Argyll Productions! Coming soon to other platforms.

We are working on getting Love Match 2 out the door! Work on the Price of Thorns audiobook is largely done with just pickups and post left; we hope to have this out later this year. The Dude, Where’s My Pack? audiobook is also in process, as is Squeak Thief!
Other upcoming releases:
Weasel Under The Sun: 2025 (Fall). The third Ellie Stone mystery (second to be published on its own)! Ellie works for a month in another family’s kitchen while hers is on vacation, but murder will follow her anywhere… (we’ve moved the expected release date from AC to later in the year, but it’s still in process!)
Azure City: 2025 (Fall). A book full of blank pages might be the key to another world, but the more Athos reads, the more he disappears from this one.
Unlawful Possesssion (Wolftown book 3): 2025 (Winter): Chasing a ghost-napper, Jae uncovers a larger, more sinister plot.
In progress:

Streaming:
Shrinking (Apple+): I finished the second season of this show from the Scrubs showrunner and loved it as much as the first. It’s a very character-centric show and I love all the characters in it. They’re written with care and love, and they’re all funny besides. Jason Segel is great in the lead role, but the supporting cast—Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Harrison Ford, and everyone else—elevate this show to another level.
Yellowjackets (Paramount+, s1 on Netflix): My boyfriend started me watching this after watching the first two seasons, and it is also good with characters! It’s also harder to find someone to root for in this one about the darker sides of people and how hard they work to keep them hidden. Of course, when you’re stranded in the wilderness and you’re only a high school student, that’s a harder task and it will stay with you for the rest of your life…
The Residence (Netflix): Maybe a cross between Knives Out and The After Party, this mystery series centered around a brilliant eccentric detective (Uzo Aduba, whom I knew as Crazy Eyes from Orange is the New Black) investigating a death in the White House is gripping, funny, and populated with believable, engaging characters. There are also so many recognizable faces here, from Giancarlo Esposito to Eliza Coupe (Tiger from Future Man), who plays a senator during the framing device, a congressional hearing, and Al Franken, who plays the senator leading the hearing. The only caveat is that I haven’t finished it yet, but six episodes in, it’s brilliant and I love it.
Happy spring, everyone! Keep up the protests, in large ways and small!
